I first met Alex Lahey through past REPLY ALT guest, Sarah Tudzin of Illuminati Hotties, and we instantly bonded over our shared love of this niche little cult show you’ve probably never heard of called The Simpsons. Quoting The Simpsons is the quickest, most direct way to my heart. Even if I don’t like someone as a person, if they slip something like Too Many Grandmas into conversation, I will at least respect them. Frankly, that alone was enough of a reason to interview Alex but then she told me she had a new album out this week and well damn, that sealed the deal.
So please enjoy our chat that is partly (ok, mostly) about our favorite Simpsons episode (no spoilers but hers is a very sturdy pick) but partly about her great new record, The Answer Is Always Yes, which has quickly worked its way into my summer jamz rotation.
