SELLOUT! Live and in person! This fall!
See you in New York and Los Angeles.
Hello, subscribers. It’s me, Dan Ozzi. You may know me as the guy who sits behind a computer all day and sends you annoying emails. While this is partly true, I am also an actual human who exists in the real world! Want proof? Great, because I’m throwing two parties (with special guests!) this fall to celebrate the release of my new book SELLOUT and you’re invited. I will prove to you once and for all that I am a real person and not just three kids stacked up in a trench coat!!
On Saturday, November 6, I’ll be appearing at the legendary Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, the hallowed metal grounds that have hosted countless legendary events which have caused irreparable damage to my hearing. I’ll be in conversation with none other than Geoff Rickly, the Thursday frontman who graces the cover of SELLOUT. This is an afternoon event. 2-5pm. And then we’re outta there. Maybe we can all go get pizza or something afterwards. I haven’t been by in a while but is that pizzeria with the photos of Steven Seagall on the wall still across the street? Let’s go there.
Then on Thursday, November 11, I’ll be at Permanent Records Roadhouse in Los Angeles, the bar/record store in Glassell Park. I’ll be joined by none other than actor, comedian, and Weird Al cosplayer, Jonah Ray. He’ll be asking me questions and being generally funnier and more likable than me. (NOTE: Do NOT laugh at his jokes harder than mine. Anyone caught laughing too hard at Jonah will be escorted out.) The event starts at 8pm and after we get the chatter out of the way, we’ll spin some punk/emo/hardcore records and party in one of the best and least pretentious bars in L.A.
So, come hang out if you’re in the area! I’ll have books for sale, I’ll sign whatever you want, and I’ll have some other fun surprises as well. You know, like regular book events, except you can drink. And unless the response is so overwhelming that I need to retinker my approach, we’ll keep these unticketed and free. Just show up.
Get vaxxed and follow the COVID protocols of the venues, please. Don’t embarrass me!
See ya in November.
